Bruce Horsley – CPA, CA, CFI, CFE, CEPA, CBV, CFF 
President

Bruce Horsley is involved with the purchase and sale of privately owned businesses and divisions of public companies and the financing of privately owned businesses. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and attends conferences, seminars and webinars to stay current with his knowledge in Mergers & Acquisition Services.

Bruce Horsley prepares business valuation reports for litigation purposes (family law, shareholder disputes) and for planning purposes (succession planning, income tax planning, family shareholder share transfers). He is a Chartered Business Valuator and attends conferences, seminars and webinars to stay current with his knowledge in business valuations and litigation support.

Bruce also performs specialized litigation consulting in preparing reports for Income for Support and Business Economic Losses. He has given evidence in court and for arbitration on numerous occasions and attended many successful mediations.

Bruce Horsley obtained an Honors Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1977

He obtained his chartered accounting designation (CA) in 1980, and his Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) professional designation in 1987. In addition to his other qualifications, Bruce also has three degrees in Forensic Accounting (CFI, CFE, and CFF).

Bruce first started consulting in Corporate Finance for an international accounting firm in 1979 and has been working full-time in the
Business Valuations and Corporate Finance area since 1983.

In 1998 Bruce Horsley founded Horsley & Associates Inc. to perform Corporate Advisory Services work.

In June 2008 he obtained the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation from the Exit Planning Institute.

In 2015 Bruce Horsley became a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts (IACVA). A professional association dedicated to “valuation knowledge creation and sharing worldwide”.

In 2017, Bruce Horsley via training and a written exam became a Certified Value Builder of the Value Builder System.

Bruce Horsley has been involved in the presentation of numerous seminars to a wide variety of professional advisors; and is the author of articles on the purchase and sale of privately owned businesses, business valuations and litigation accounting.

Jeff Horvath – CBV, CA, CPA, HBBA

Jeff is a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)/Chartered Accountant (CA), with 14-years of experience in the areas of business valuation, personal injury claims, damage quantification, matrimonial matters, purchase price allocation and due diligence.  Prior to joining Horsley & Associates, he held a senior management position at a big four accounting firm in the business valuation and litigation support division.  He holds an Honours in Business Administration Diploma in with a specialization in Accounting from the Wilfrid Laurier University.

Jeff has advised and prepared reports for clients, including both private and public companies, in connection with shareholder and partnership disputes, family law matters, arbitrations, mediations, fraud investigations and financial forensic analysis, initial public offerings and fairness opinions, mergers and acquisitions, reverse take-overs, corporate reorganizations, intangible asset valuations including software, bankruptcy, solvency opinions, tax and estate planning, performance improvement and re-engineering and other financial consulting, ESOPs (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), appraisal and oppression remedies, loss of income claims, insurance claims, business interruption litigation, and personal injury litigation.

Recently, he presented as the valuation expert for the Ontario Bar Association’s Buying and Selling a Business Seminar, and as the valuation expert in the Cadesky Tax Seminars, which is attended annually by over 600 professionals.

Scott Vecile – B. Comm., MBA, CBV

Scott specializes in corporate finance and has experience in performing a range of services from assistance in selling business, acquisitions assistance and financial modeling for financings and transactions.

Scott obtained a degree in Commerce in 2005 form Ryerson University with a double major in Corporate Finance and Economics. He obtained an MBA from McMaster University in 2011 with a major in Strategic Business Valuation. He completed the Charted Business Valuator training program in 2011.

Scott has a track record of numerous successful business transactions.

Scott joined Horsley & Associates Inc. June 2012 to be involved in the purchase and sale of privately owned businesses. He joined a boutique M&A advisory firm in 2014.

Scott rejoined Horsley & Associates Inc. in November 2015
